Momentree is a private family tree app for iOS. It lets you record the people, relationships, and moments that matter to you — all kept on your device.

Privacy Policy
Momentree is designed with privacy as a first principle. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what happens to the information you enter into the app.
What we collect
Nothing. Momentree does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no login.
Where your data lives
All the data you create in Momentree — names, dates, relationships, events, and any other details about your family — is stored entirely on your device, in the app's local database. Momentree does not upload your data to any server, cloud service, or third party.
No analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs
Momentree contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. The app does not make network requests to share or report your usage.
Family members, including children
Family trees naturally include information about other people, including minors. Any names, dates, photos, or relationships you enter — for anyone, of any age — remain on your device and are never transmitted off it.
Children's privacy
Because Momentree does not collect data from anyone, it does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
Data retention and deletion
Your data persists on your device until you delete it from within the app, or until you delete the app itself. Uninstalling Momentree permanently removes all data stored by the app from your device.
Device backups
Because Momentree's data is stored in the app's sandbox on your device, it will be included in any standard device backup you choose to make — for example, iCloud Backup or an encrypted backup to your Mac or PC. These backups are managed by Apple and your own systems, not by Momentree, and are governed by Apple's terms and the security settings you have configured. Momentree itself never sends your data anywhere.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in the future, the effective date above will be updated to reflect when the change took effect.
